On Saturday, July 27, 1968 several members of the club went camping at Old Mill Park in Hastings, MN. Sometime after midnight, club member Mike Tracy got into an argument with two men near the campsite. One of the men pulled out a 16 gauge shotgun and killed Mike on the spot. On Wednesday, July 31, over 150 club members, supporters, family and friends rode their motorcycles to Worthington, MN forming a procession to pay tribute to their fallen brother.
