The Wild One poster RePop - by Tom Fugle

$20.00

Tom’s love for the MC lifestyle started early. As a kid, Tom was always enthralled with the idea of the outlaw life and blazing his own path. In middle school (1952-55), he formed a club with his neighborhood friends. They would go on bicycle rides, hold club meetings, and throw parties. In 1953, Columbia Pictures released the movie “The Wild One” in theaters all over the country. The Black Rebels MC, led by Johnny Strabler (Marlon Brando), in his black leather jacket, disrupted a motorcycle race and wreaked havoc on a small town. It was one of the original movies featuring this outlaw lifestyle that included motorcycles. This clearly had some influence on Tom as this is one of his original pencil sketches from the mid-1950s. It features a character who wears a very similar jacket and hat to Johnny Strabler. The rest is history. This poster measures 16x20” and is printed on high-quality matte paper. It will be shipped rolled in a thick cardboard tube.
